Chosen to be the sound technician for this prominent concert, he and his faithful few have meticulously ran sound test, prepping levels, and planning set-up all week long.

Miskell is not just the sound technician for this concert. He is a fellow recording artist. He has recently performed on TBN’s Praise the Lord and he released an album entitled “Expect a Miracle”. Miskell, who is married to Marlene Redmon of Biloxi, Mississippi, is also the pastor of Greater Mount Rest of Gulfport, Mississippi located on 3725 34th Avenue. Miskell has pastored Greater Mount Rest for almost eight years and counting.

Pastor Miskell served many churches in the area for years as a Minister of Music. However, in 2007, he accepted his call to pastor Greater Mount Rest, then three years later; he released his much-awaited CD “Expect a Miracle” which is available now on CDBaby. Since then he performed all over the Gulf Coast and even Jamaica four times. Through it all, his said he wanted to perform at home for his own community.

“I have a passion for music. Ministry is first, but I love… I just love music”, Miskell said as if embracing the art form for a loving hug. Miskell sites the legendary Pastor John P. Kee and the multiple Grammy-, Dove-, Stellar-award winning recording artist Fred Hammond as his musical influences. Miskell also stated that he favors the old school art of concert sound rather than using software and laptops to produce quality sound. “With the newer stuff it’s limited. With this stuff I could be red-lining and still crank it up higher. It’s an art and I just love it!”

“Sunday Best” is the pinnacle competition-show for aspiring mainstream gospel artist. The concert will feature a crew of very popular “Sunday Best” competitors. Lawrence & Friends, Joshua Rogers, Ashford Sanders, Alexis Spight, and special guest Jekalyn Carr will to perform their ‘Sunday Best’. Tyrone Lewis Ministry is the promotion company for this concert. Prophet Tyrone Lewis, Sr. owns and operates the Christian entertainment company. Lewis is also an associate minister at Abundant Life Evangelist Center under the direction of Overseer Jason L.
